I have always longed for the easy life. I don't think I am lazy, because I have worked full time most of my life and I do all the necessary things around the home like housework and gardening. It's just that I would rather not have to. I'd like to have time on my hands to just walk around the garden enjoying the sun, or to sleep in when I want to, or to buy nice things whenever I want to.
I know that's not unusual, almost everybody wants that. But I think about it quite a lot and I wonder why it can't be me doing it. A lot of my time and energy is devoted towards making more money so that hopefully one day I can be free.
At the moment for instance I am in the middle of a property subdivision that I hope will make me enough money to pay off my mortgage. Getting rid of the mortgage is step 1 in my plan for financial freedom.
For years now I've been investing in the stock market trying to make easy money but I fail consistently at that; I'll blog more about that sorry saga later.
