I bought an old house on a subdividable block, and renovated the house a bit and started the subdivion process. This has been going on for over a year now. It's taken longer than it should have because it is the first time I have sub-divided, so I made mistakes along the way, and so did my surveyor, which meant I've had to go through some of the red tape twice.
Anyway I have buyer for the house now, his finance has been approved, but the sale can't settle until the two titles are issued (one existing land title becomes two new land titles).
It's frustrating; I have a man who wants to give me hundreds of thousands of dollars, and I want to take it from him (in exchange for a house of course) but neither of us is happy because the shire, the WAPC, LandCorp, and the bank are all dragging their feet with the paperwork.
Meanwhile, I am losing money on this property instead of making it.
